riding and writing

today the blue machine brought me to my favorite coffee shop, Bobos cafe. it’s a short 10 minute ride through nice neighborhoods and it was a beautiful sunny day, 61 degrees. riding season is about to be over, so i’m trying to get as much riding as i can, also, it helps get my energy way up for when i sit down to do my work. i like coffee shops because i’m always naturally distracted but at least in a coffee shop the distractions are pleasant unlike being at home where netflix and the playstation are constantly calling my name. that’s why for me, going outside is critical, you never know what can happen, who you are going to meet, what you could learn and what fresh perspective can arise within you. now, it’s not to say that solitude doesn’t bring to life creative work. It’s far more painful yet that much more profound. balance between the two forms of creation, for me, is the best way to stay connected to a productive work flow.

now i’ve fully come to understand the difference between being creative inside of your mind and actually bringing that imagination to life.

i have to agree that it takes discipline.
